Cost between IRW and mahogany must be fairly close. Santa Cruz Guitar Co. charges the same for both. Honduran mahogany is not so easy to come by these days.

Always been a hog fan specifically for the lovely mid range, soft highs and punchy woody sound. The growl/thrum is addictive. It's what I think a guitar should sound like. I prefer Sitka to adi as it's a bit warmer and have fallen in love with Larrivee mahogany guitars in particular, having tried many, many others. They are very lush and just a class act. Glad you enjoyed a hog!

Not really the right kind of guitar but you could try putting up a flyer at your nearest crossroads

I have that with maple, which tends to get give a bit more "open" sound.
