Default NGD Gibson J45 Studio

Buying this is a big step for me...but am in love with the thing.

Here’s a picture, with my 55 year old B25 behind.

Well, I don’t actually see the picture, don’t know why. Anyway, it has the tobacco burst. 😊

Wait. There it is 🤦*♂️

Congratulations! I hope you love yours and bond with it like I am bonding with mine.

I am a "Gibson Guy" mostly. I bought my J45 Studio a month back. I bought it to gig, and I am playing it more and more every day. It's 000 comfort with the Gibson sound, crispness, decay, and thump. These are extremely underrated guitars. At half the price of a J45.... truly amazing.

Oh and the Baggs Element VTC is a great live pickup.

Mine is the 2nd from the left in this picture; I did change my pick guard out to a batwing from Holter Pickguards. And the tuners to Kluson creme buttons. The Grovers worked great. I swapped them because I like the Kluson look better, and it's a project that always allows me to relax.

How long has that guy in the hat been waiting to play that B25-12?

Congrats on the new Studio!

Congrats to the OP on his NGD!

I want one of these so bad, especially after seeing that word "thump"... That was my concern about these, do they have the Gibson thump with the narrower body.

Picked up a lightly used L-00 Studio on Reverb & it has the smaller body version of Gibson thump. With nice smooth trebles. Love that guitar.

The slightly thicker neck profile on these Studio models really works for me too.

They have the thump... slightly less bass than a J45. But they are crisp and sweet. I get a nice fat tone with Elixir HD Lights (heavier top stringsI think?)

Stellar. That B 25 12 was lonely for another Gibson. You did the right thing.
