Yamaha APX - Cracked neck or cracked finish?

Hi All,

I was wondering if someone could give me their assessment on what appears to be a "finish-crack" on my Yamaha APX500. I bet this used at Guitar Center for $175 and did not have my glasses with me. At first I thought it was just glue overrun (made in Indonesia) but later felt the sharp edges of the cracked finish. Do you feel the intergrity of value of the guitar is comprimised? The rest of the guitar is in great shape, plays and sounds awesome. See picture links below:
