Don't remind Pats fans. Every one of us has been thinking about this. But, it wasn't Gronk's fault entirely. That whole play was done poorly. Several players took bad angles and wrong routes to the tackle.

That was a brutal loss but to put it in perspective after that game many were saying the Pats' playoff run was basically over, no bye week, won't win that first playoff game, etc. Regardless, that last play in the Miami game is one we'll be talking about in 20 years from now and the discussion will either be about how the Pats lost in the Conference Championship on the road because they lost the #1 seed or how it had no impact because they made the Super Bowl.

The AFC East without NE have been so consistently abysmal over the past five, ten and eighteen year time frames that the Pats have consistently entered the regular season favored to win 6 division games, plus one walkover in the North (Browns) or West(Raiders) or South (two to three depending on the year.)

What has really happened is that Belichick and Brady (maybe the greatest pairing of all time even if I don't like them) have felt free to experiment with oddball concepts during the regular season knowing that they can recover from most missteps, but they are ready at playoff time. This leads to people asking what is wrong the Pats - nothing, they are figuring out what they can and cannot do in the post-season during a fairly meaningless regular season game that they expect to win but can afford to lose.

Had they replaced the Browns in the AFC North or the Raiders in the AFC West, their history may not have been written with the luster that it receives.

I do find it interesting that after the Pats, the AFC Super Bowl representation has basically consisted of the Steelers, Broncos, Colts and Ravens. Rothlisberger, Manning, Manning, and Ray Lewis at MLB. On the other hand, during the Brady era most of the NFC teams have sent a representative to the Big Game. This tells me that the NFC has achieved "parity" but the AFC has not.

I don't know why.

The Patriots have a better record against the AFC North than the AFC East in the Brady era though, so they'd do the same or better.

Default Best games

My favorite NFL games of the year! Saints lost a big man up front, and that will be a game changer. KC returns two starters and Patriots are the UNDERDOG!!!
Can't choose a winner in either game-going to be great football-if the refs don't get in the way

Good to see the Rams come back. Fake punt gave them momentum. Someone needs to escort the whistler out of the stadium. Hopefully the Rams can mount a comeback so I don’t have to put up with all of these annoying Saints fans that live near me and couldn’t name the quarterbacks before Drew Brees.

I can at least take a break from them until next season. Outside of Philly fans, Saints fans are the most obnoxious ever.

And they're rich, in massive numbers, going to all those away games. But please, N'Orleans fans merely dream of being as obnoxious as Philly fans.

Obnoxious fan title definitely goes to the Cowboys, with the Steelers very close behind.

Nope, it's Philly. Please, except for last year, it's all we have.

Obnoxious is actually somewhat a complement to Philly fans. I just have to hate on them since I’ve been rooting for the Cowboys. The Saints fans I have to deal with everyday since they’re the most local.

Wow, horrible no call by the refs.
Clear pass interference by the Rams against the Saints.
If the Rams win, it’s the refs fault.

And not the first no call that benefited the rams on this half. Horrible.
