Default Is This Neck Separation Ok?

Hey Guys,

So I have been traveling with this CA Cargo for like 6 months now and weather condition wise it has been through absolute HELL!!! freezing snow, humidity, dry heat, salt you name it. its been an utter champion.

However I recently noted that there is a small gap at the base of the neck and am worried if i need to get it repaired ASAP or if I can afford to leave it for another 6 months while i continue to travel. No idea what specifically is causing it.

Any help would be hugely appreciated.

Regards,
Simon

I wouldn't worry unless you notice it getting worse or humping up, its a minor repair but you have to have the right tools.....

Given your travel status, I agree with heavy (but don't sue us if anything worse happens!). When you're done travelling, I'd pursue with CA to determine if it needs repair.

TrusTed

Sorry to make this thread political!

Really, trust Ted!

Ted, thanks for stepping in to save heavy and I from a potential lawsuit.

You don't say whether this is an old or a new Cargo. If it's a new one, I would definitely get in contact with Peavey. It's serious when any part of a guitar starts to fall apart. Even if it's an old CA version, I'd talk with Peavey--this is an interesting problem and one worth running down. Good luck.
