And there is a story behind this song!

"Tom" in the song is Art Garfunkel. When Simon and Garfunkel started out they called themselves "Tom and Jerry" and had a minor hit in the style of the Everly Brothers called "Hey Schoolgirl!"

Art Garfunkel was heading out to Mexico to play an acting part in the movie, "Catch 22," leaving Paul Simon behind in New York City. In a sense, this was the beginning of the breakup of Simon and Garfunkel as a singing duo. In spite of Paul Simon's sense of abandonment, he gives Art Garfunkel a huge compliment, telling him to "let your honesty, shine, shine, shine, like it shines on me..."

I hope you are well Marty! I'm doing great!

- Glenn

Once again, thank you for the gift you give to the world. You'll never really know how much joy and love you create in the universe.

One of my all time favorite songs is CSN Dark Star (Stephen Stills wrote it). There was one AGF Show and Tell video back in 2011. However, that Youtube video is no longer available. I'm sure you could knock that one out of the park too.

Hi J!

Thanks so much! And thank you for your kind words! I'm so pleased that you felt that this song came out okay!

I remember CSN's song, "Dark Star." I will add it to my list of songs to work on! Thank you for the suggestion.
