Default Replacement Guitar- Sweetwater!!!!

Long story, I purchased a Fender Newporter from Sweetwater LAST JUNE on a “ bad decision night” and kicked myself as I kept trying to like this guitar. Different strings, tweaks here and there, nope it will just be a wall hanger.

Couple days ago I noticed the lacquer was flaking off of the back of the neck so I gave Sweetwater a jingle, TOTALLY A LONG SHOT Obviously the 30 day return policy had passed, but surely a Fender Warranty situation ( two years-Sweetwater). After some discussion, they will take the guitar back and will be getting a Taylor 214CE! I am beyond blown away at such FANTASTIC customer service. I understand the play before you pay rule but, Jeez, these guys ROCK!! Any 214CE owners wanna chime in on how they like their guitar. I would love to hear about your thoughts. By the way I chose the 214 over the 224 because of the mid tones. Pics when arrives in a week or so!!!!

I haven't purchased any guitars there, but they are my 'go to' shop for pretty much all accessories (except for strings-- I like to purchase from smaller mom & pop stores too). They have excellent customer service and get orders out the door as quickly as Amazon. I think if I ordered 'pocket lint' Ben Porter, from Sweetwater, would call to thank me the next day.

I love my 224. Picked it over the 214 mainly because I liked the look and didn't want another spruce top guitar.

Sweetwater always has been a fine place to shop. As for the guitar - you will have to post what you think about yours after you get it. No other opinion matters especially since you’ve already purchased it.

In 2018, I bought a 214ceDLX and a 150e-12 at the same time from Sweetwater. I got a super deal and great service. I’ve owned an ‘02 814c since new as my main guitar and I have to say that the 214 is no slouch compared to it...slightly narrower neck, but I have no problem with that. I keep it at my vacation home and enjoy playing it a lot.

I have a Tobacco Sunburst 214e Deluxe. It's easy to play and sounds great. I also like sturdy case it came in. I like dealing with Sweetwater and enjoy the candy they pack with orders.
