Dbone, think of it like Schrodinger's Cat. As long as the box is sealed shut, your new Yamaha can be thought of as both in terrific condition and broken in pieces (or some variation)...

In simple terms, Schrödinger stated that if you place a cat and something that could kill the cat (a radioactive atom) in a box and sealed it, you would not know if the cat was dead or alive until you opened the box, so that until the box was opened, the cat was (in a sense) both "dead and alive".

Looking forward to seeing images. I have admired the LL series from a distance, but have never seen one in the wild, or in captivity. From what I read, they are the samurai swords of guitars.
And this one, oh my: https://reverb.com/item/11953724-yam...stom-jacaranda

It was a signed copy on display (for display-only purposes) on the wall outside and away from the sales areas.

Maybe the helpdesk people play it during breaks and lunch?

Not sure if this is comforting or not...lol

Yeah, those 86s are darn expensive. 56 is a relative bargain

Based on the guitar misfortunes you've recently experienced, I thought that 50-50 odds would give you a modicum of comfort...

I just watched a few videos of the LL56 and that is one sweet guitar. I hope your guitar is in perfect condition when you open the box and you can enjoy your new Yamaha. Good luck!

Congratulations on the guitar! You are pretty lucky to have your guitar on the day before the shutdown here in Ontario!

I can imagine that is going to be an amazing guitar. I've had some high-end Yamaha classical guitars and they are very well made with good quality materials.

I ordered a Yamaha FS5 Red Label from Long&Mcquade on Saturday and it looks like I won't be getting it for a while. It was a toss-up between that guitar and a Martin 000-18. I think I made a good choice, given the price difference. I just hope the sound of the FS5 is as good as the Martin.

I can't wait for the pictures of your new guitar!

Martin
