Default Wo Ke Yi Bao Ni Ma (Last Embrace)

Hi guys,

I have not posted anything for sometime and over the last weekend I worked out this arrangement of a Chinese Pop Song by the Asian dynamite singer, Zhang Hui Mei. The title of the song is in the header of this thread which basically tells the pain of separation. You can hear the original version by searching under this title and putting Zhang Hui Mei in your search thread.

Anyway, my version is located at the following URL;

Hope you guys like it, any comments is welcome.

Thanks,
Tomo

I wonder why the Pinyin is translated as Last Embrace, when it actually says "Can I hold you?" ?

Bong.

I was debating on what's the best English translation for the title of this song.
I came up with, Let Me Hold You One Last Time, Breaking Up Is Hard To do, Can I Hold You One Last time, Last Embrace (like the song the Last Waltz), Please Don't Go (remember KC and the Sunshine Band).
I thought I use the shortest translation that still captures the meaning of the song. You are right though, 'Can I Hold You' is the direct translation for the title of this song.

Really nicely done! Great sounding arrangement (admit I never heard of the song, though...) and it has a very pretty melody. Love the nice solid rhythm you give it, too.

Shawlie,

Thank you for the kind words.
You can check out the original singer at the following URL.

Amei is a well known Chinese pop song diva, with incredible vocal prowess. As to the meaning of the song if you are interested at all, go to the following URL, where somebody tried to translate the lyrics to English. I think it is close enough.
