Default Goodall Traditional 000

I have a new Goodall Traditional 000 12-fret heading into production. I do more finger-style than flat-picking theses days, so that played a part is our discussions & choices. Thanks to James and Jean Goodall for their thoughtful guidance and production photos to follow. And it’s always great working with Adam at The Music Emporium. It’s looking like a late summer delivery. Here are the specs.

Traditional 000-12 Fret
Claro Walnut Back & Sides
Master Adirondack Spruce Top w/ no runout
Herringbone Rosette & Purflings
White Maple Body, Headstock, & Fingerboard Binding
Ebony: Peghead Veneer, Bridge, Fretboard
Bone Nut & Saddle
Waverly Nickel Tuners w/ Ebony Buttons
1 3/4” Nut & 2 1/4” Bridge Spacing
Ameritage Case

That’s all for now.

You are in for a real treat, the TR000 model from Goodall is a killer guitar, I've played a couple of them. Walnut and Red Spruce sound like a nice do it all wood combo that gives versatile tonal options. The TR000 always reminds me of the Froggy Bottom H12 which is a good thing!!

The guitar I've kept the longest is my 2006 THR000 (Honduran RW/Euro Spruce). I've never played another guitar quite like it, I'm sure you will love this walnut/adi recipe for goodness

I really like Goodall guitars. I’ve had the opportunity to play quite a few recently & I bought and sold a TROM (I liked a lot) primarily because I found it was too much like my GC, which I expect to keep. I have played a couple of the Goodall T-000 models and liked his 12-fret model. After speaking with James I’m psyched that he will dial in what I’m looking for. Dave’s Guitar has a very nice THR000 that had caught my eye.

Wonderful, Paul... you need some more guitars!

Isn't Adam a great guy to work with. Love the guy...

This will be sweet. Walnut can produce such lovely and clear tone. I look forward to hearing about it.

I just received word that the guitar is finished and has been delivered to TME. I’m not sure if Jean was able to take production photos. And I’m unable to pick it up for a week, but Adam at TME sent me a photo tasting until I pick it up next week. It looks pretty nice! I’ll provide a full update when I’ve had a chance to test drive the instrument.

Wow--that Walnut looks amazing. And the top is nice and creamy for being Adi.

Congrats--looking forward to your full review!
