It can be done. Chris is a special talent though.

That's pretty crazy great but he is hybrid picking. Not what is traditionally thought of as flat picking.

Interestingly a lot of sections of that sound like the old plucked string instrument called the harpsichord.

I do that. Can't play classical technique anymore...due to age/injury. I use hybrid tecnique.
