Default Softening the edges of ukulele bridge

Hello, I got a Martin C1K concert ukulele, for those of you familiar to this model in the Martin production line you are most likely aware of its bridge. I find it rather edgy, or even rugged. So IŽd like to rework it to be softer and more "acoustical" in a esthetic way.
Will that affect the value of the instrument?
Do you think it would affect the tone?
The more I could get it too look like the bridge on the vintage Martin concerts the better.
Regards

Since no one has answered Ill give my non professional opinion. Bridges arent usually finished so I dont see any reason you couldnt take so fine sandpaper and smooth out the edges.
