Couldn't agree more. My introduction to Japanese guitar luthiery actually goes back a few years to an Asturias Grand Solo CR steel string that was advertised for sale in Toronto, Canada. It was built under the supervision of Wataru Tsuji and had an amazing tone, especially in light of the modest asking price.

Just checked out Echizen guitars based on your post. The little viewed video below verifies your claim, IMHO. I'd love to hear the amazing guitar in the video played by someone like Satoshi Gogo or dare I say it, myself.

If your guitar sounds anything like the one in the linked video below your are indeed blessed!

Mitsuhiro Uchida, I think he has already been mentioned. Has a legendary status, aesthetically unique. I think it is almost impossible to get one of his guitars these days.
