Time to clear the deck folks.
I have this near mint 2008 McPherson 4.0 in Adirondack top over some superb AFRICAN Mahogany.

Not just any tone woods as McPherson only uses the best grade available. Tone first and aesthetics next.

In the past 11 years this one has opened up tremendously.
Typically, Big Mac’s are strung with mediums to help lower the boom however the previous owner employed lights. Yet it is so resonate.

One can easily decide which strings to use by their own preference. I would have a good tech/luthier do a setup if you revert back to mediums.

Just curious, did McPherson guitars change a lot since then? I know their MSRP has gone up a lot, but was there a huge change related to it?

In 2003 McPherson came up with its major innovation of what is now and still the bracing pattern. Only minor tweaks over the years have been made. Please review the link below:
