Acoustic Panel Placement
As some of you know, I recently purchased 9 acoustic panels....2x4 feet by 5.5 inches deep, oc703...very nicely made. What is the best way to position them? I've given a rough sketch of my bedroom....it is 14x11 with 10 foot ceilings. My monitor is attched to my wall, however it is large enough that I could scoot back my desk to around 1/3rd of the way back and still see.
Here is a quick sketch of my setup...could anyone offer direction? I've got 6 of them in the corners now, and I can hear the difference immediately. https://imgur.com/a/lOxqizA |

I'd position two at the first reflection point (even though four is what you'd actually need).

Do your monitors have front-facing or rear-facing bass ports?
Besides the 2 point-of-first reflection panels, I'd stack 2 in each rear corner - still leaves a 2 ft gap though. Same thing in the front corners, although that door alcove presents its own problems.

I guess I was unclear. Wondering best placement for recording in stereo with mics. I really don't have monitors at this point, but rather am trying to set up my geometry for when I do. Right now I am trying to use my panels to get the best stereo recording of solo acoustic guitar. I have a matched pair of Shure KSM137s that I will be experimenting with. Mixing solo guitar with decent headphones is where I am at at this moment, however I do plan to get monitors for real mixing once I move past solo acoustic guitar....

But yes for now forget about the speaker first reflection points Me (if possible) I would still place one panel in each corner at a 45 degree across the corner then the other 5 I would first try placed in semi circles at front and rear of my recording position with them at least 3 -4 ft away from the mics
