Default NGDx2 Martin OM-28/18 Authentic

I stumbled into an OM-28 Authentic purchase recently, and immediately sought out an OM-18 Authentic to pair with it. Both showed up today!

I've included my Martin CS 000-28 Madi/Coco which started the love of Martin 000/OM models, it just seemed like it belonged!

Higher resolution pictures here, if you're into that sort of thing.

First impression is exceptionally positive for both guitars. I'm planning a relaxed weekend, so I'll definitely be playing them both a ton and try to keep this updated with my thoughts on them.

edit: Below was the original post, where my NGD was temporarily blocked by simple sliding latches. I'll leave it for comedic purposes,

Although, bizarrely enough I've managed to lock BOTH cases prior to actually seeing the guitars (and having access to the cases' keys). Either they were locked during shipping (which seems unlikely) or I masterfully locked them unknowingly pulling them out and setting them down. Alternatively, I could just be missing something obvious as to how they're not actually locked (though this doesn't seem to be the situation).

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated, haha

Did you try sliding the button to the left?

Wow, I felt like I was trying to push that in all sorts of directions. Guess I was just being far too cautious.

You're my hero, thanks!

I would have lost my mind if I couldn't get them open.

Probably why I couldn't figure out the simple slide left part! Yeah, I was thinking surely they couldn't lock without using the keys to lock them, but they sure didn't seem to want to open,

Anyways, I've updated the OP with pictures of what's inside those silly cases.

Tremendous NGD posting... awesome!

That's Jim's old OM-28A isn't it? I can tell... it has the straightest non-figured Madi back of any OM-28A made so far.

(Okay, I don't know that for sure... but it's the nicest one I've seen posted anywhere, and I'll bet it's in the top 3 )

Nice guitars and good taste as I can see you give a Schitt about your audio.

Enjoy in good health.

Congrats, now that is a Martin trio to be proud of, I'm an OM/000 guy and that is a top shelf collection.

Really funny about the latches, but I guess if you never had that kind of case before.....

That does look like Jim's Authentic which had spectacular woods, I have surgery in a few days or I would have bought it when he offered, bad timing for me, good timing for you. If it isn't Jim's Authentic it's good new in another way in that there are really good sets of wood available on some of these OM-28As.

Enjoy, two Authentics in one day, wonderful, spectacular..............
