I’ve had my J-15 for almost a year now and am really digging it. I have played the heck out of it. Mine also came with a black case - wonder if the brown is standard now?

Beautiful guitar! If you love yours half as much as I love mine, you won't want to put it down.

Congratulations!

I think JBCROTTY is right, brown is now a standard hard case. One online shop I looked at has two J-15s and the one made in December 2017 comes with a black case and the other one from January 2018 with a brown one.
Even the official online Gibson shop shows basic hardshell cases only in brown.

Getting back to the guitar, yesterday the more I played the J-15 the more I was convinced it was a good choice. It is very loud, has some nice, deep bass, with famous for Gibson note separation and huge dynamics - play it gently or hit it hard still sounds fabulous.

Excellent. I've fallen in love with mine. Enjoy it. Play it!
