the helix rack with floor controller does not have

Interesting. It just seems so odd to me that I have to plug the guitar into the RACK and not the control.

So I picked up a Helix LT and set up presets for my Gibson L-OO, My National Tricone, my mandolin and my electrics. Now I've got one chord for all my instruments with separate outs to the PA. I'm still fine tuning things but so far it's fairly promising. The sounds are very clean with a lot of flexibility to shape the tone. I use the tube preamp and a few simple effects for the acoustic stuff but there's a lot more to explore. Great compressors. It's like having a studio at your feet.

I'll know after a few more gigs if I really have an all in one solution here. I'm a sideman and I'm always rearranging pedal boards for multiple projects where I play different instruments and the Helix might save me a lot of headaches. I don't sing or loop so those limitations don't affect my situation. They did just update looper functionality in the latest firmware though.

So you like the compressors? Which ones? How do you set the threshold? I see the potential, but I’m not an expert on using them yet.

There is a lot of good Helix compressor info in this video:

I got the Helix LT for Christmas. I bought it for my electric guitars, but no reason that I can't use it to shape my acoustic sound, as well. I really love the design and interface... just need to find more time to spend with it.
