Default NGD X20 Ziricote

After 4 months she finally arrived

Everything I was hoping for, this guitar sounds as nice as she looks!
In addition to the ziricote veneer I went for a pinless bridge and a custom neck. The neck was supposed to be similar to my Collings OM, but it feels skinnier and more C-shaped than Soft V. Luckily I find it very comfortable and playable as it is anyway.

For the sound sample you'll find much better on Emerald's website than anything I could provide
Here are a few pictures sent by Alistair with the guitar.

Wow... strikingly beautiful!

You guys need to tell me more about the sound of the X20 and how it differs from the X7. I look forward to hearing about it.

Hope you enjoy!

Gorgeous.
Splendid wood veneer choice, I like the yellow color contrast.
The X20 is an excellent guitar, you should be very happy,

Stunning X20! Congratulations. I can see why folks are choosing the woody. Emerald does such a great job with the photos. I love that they include those on a USB stick with each guitar.

Whoa! What a beauty!! Welcome to LEWCO - the Lucky Emerald Woody Custom Owners club! Great call on the Ziricote with sapwood, very pretty. I considered a pinless bridge as well but it added enough extra cost to the final price to be not worthwhile for me so I went with standard.

As for your neck, did you provide a mold sample to Emerald of your Collings or did you just request? I know in my case I requested a Santa Cruz soft V but they had no examples of that neck so they sent me a mold compound and had me make a mold and send it back. I'm thinking if you just stated Collings neck and they had access to a Collings there then that might be the difference.

I was hoping that Alistair made a mold of my final neck on my custom and would use it for people looking for future soft V necks. That way when I order a custom woody X7 in the future he can recreate the exact neck I have on my X20!
