Default Taylor 814CE DLX

SOLD. I have a very nice Taylor 814CE deluxe. This guitar would be considered mint condition if not for a finish issue right at the nut. Not sure how/why this happened but the rest of the guitar is pristine with no fret wear dings, dents, etc. Sitka spruce top over Indian rosewood back and sides. This one also has a beautiful figured mahogany neck. Comes with the OHSC also in pristine condition. Will ship in a Taylor shipping box.

Specs:
Sitka Spruce top
Indian rosewood back/sides
Adirondack braces
1-3/4" nut width
25.5" scale length
Expression 2 pickup system
Rosewood arm bevel
Florentine cutaway
Gotoh 510 tuners (21:1 gear ratio)
Rosewood pickguard
Maple binding and back strip
Advanced performance pattern bracing
"Smoky" ebony fingerboard

Thank you and feel free to PM me with any questions!

You have mislabeled the post. It is an 814ce, not an 810ce.

Right you are, I'm not sure what I was thinking. Thanks!

Finish issue looks like it could be excess glue around the nut. Might want to remove the strings and see if you can gently remove with a plastic scrapper.

I wish this was the case but it is in fact a finish issue. Thanks for the thought though.

It is very easy to fix fortunately. For the prospective buyer this is a spectacular guitar, and you could replace the nut and have that small finish spot repaired in one stop if it bothered you.

I nearly always replace the nut and saddle on my Taylors to bone and that would be a perfect time to get that spot touched up.

You could definitely have the finish touched-up. I never sent it in to Taylor because of the long wait time for repair work. It never bothered me enough to have it fixed as it does not affect the sound or playability at all. I would also agree, a bone nut would be a nice addition to this guitar.

I just lowered the price a little more. I'm hoping this will get the interested buyers more excited.....

Holy crap that’s a HECK of a great price. I’m surprised it hasn’t sold. These guitars are 4 grand brand new, and there’s not a lot of them with the DLX upgrade to begin with.

That’s the most attractive fretboard I’ve seen in one of these guitars. Most of them just have a few streaks. But this one looks very exotic. I wish I had one like this in mine.

BTW, i believe you made a mistake on the description about the tuners. I believe the gear ratio in those Is 21:1

Good luck!

Thank you, I revised my listing.

This is a great guitar and it's still looking for a new home....

Unreal that it is still available. I have an 818e, 2016, not a deluxe, but I love it, elsewise I would be a buyer for sure!

X2

I would buy it if I was right handed. It’s a really low price for that guitar.
