Default Aunt leaves you $1,150....

A long lost maiden Aunt leaves you exactly $1,150 in her will. You have to spend it on your favorite interest (guitar and related).

What do you do?

Put the funds in the piggy bank and keep adding to it till I come with another $1,150. Then start shopping around.

Use it to pay the sales tax on a really fine guitar, with enough left over for picks, strap, tuner and capo.

The same thing actually happened to me for about the same amount.

I used it to get the A/C in my house fixed.

I would honor her wishes and put it towards another nice guitar.

I have no problem spending my own money.
I have even less of a problem spending other peoples money.

I would use it on something I wouldn't normally buy. Maybe an Epiphone SG double neck.

This. I think guitars get exponentially more interesting at around $2,500. Ish.

You could get tantalizingly close to a Martin 000-15sm. A very sweet guitar.

Too much money for a decent travel/camping guitar.

Just about right for a good crossover nylon string.

Would immediately go on the credit card to pay off the Gibson G-45 I just bought.

Personally I don't want or need any more gear or guitars.

I'd leave it in a fund for concerts - maybe even a "destination" show or festival.

I'm more into experiences than stuff
