Garageband help
Hello all,
Since I don’t own an amplifier, I use Garageband with an iRig 2 and headphones. The issue I’m having is that I play along with My Music in the background and the music is louder than the amplified tone when playing. I have the volume slider at 100 and the background music is still overbearing. Is there a way to to adjust the background music but leaving the volume of my guitar alone?

I'm not sure what "My Music" is, but assuming you are playing that through a different app from GarageBand, you need to set the level in that app, if possible. (I'm guessing it only has the phone's volume control?) Usually, what you'd want to do is *import* the backing music into GarageBand as a separate [stereo] track, then you can control the level of that track independently of the iRig track you are playing.

I've used it on an iMac with an interface and never had any issues at all. I think you're trying to do too much with a telephone.
