The opening to 'A Day In The Life' made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up back in 1967.
It still does it 51 years later.

Nope. Not gonna do it!
As soon as I list a song or two songs - and hit "Submit" - I'll have a change of heart.

... and throw in Paul's superb 'walking' bass line.
Brilliant.

Sorry, I can't choose just one, and in fact, I can't choose just two. It's hopeless for me. The Beatles are just too ingrained in my history. For me, the Beatles' music is a continuum until I graduated from college when they began to break up.

Being an old fart, I remember in the late 60's Rolling Stone magazine for a couple of years rated McCartney as the best rated bass player. Funny how we can remember little stuff like that from a half century ago! Don't know how he would rate today, haven't looked it up, but I always did admire the punch and melodic playing that Paul could muster up. Made songs so interesting to listen to

Hide Your Love Away speaks to me and I like strumming the chords. But there’s a lot of their songs that are very good, huh?!?

Her Majesty is a Pretty Nice Girl to play (because it is just so much fun, and I don't have the skill set for Blackbird).
To listen to maybe My Guitar Gently Weeps And ya, I know I cheated a little... |
