Default St. Joseph Island Blues

This is a Tommy Flint composition from his finger style anthology that I have been working through with my teacher for several months. I was so happy to finally get to the blues section that I recorded this

I also wanted to show off my new Voyage Air guitar. After returning a couple of smaller bodied travel type guitars I'm very happy with this one, it is a keeper.

Recorded with the internal mics in my Zoom H4n into Audacity with some compression and reverb added. Thanks for listening.

You know I have a soft spot for the blues Bob, great job. Good clean playing and tone.

Nice job, Bob! Right on the beat and good control! Good job on the recording, too! Nice to listen to!

Thanks Barry! You are at least partially to blame for my infatuation with country blues

Thanks Glenn, I appreciate the encouragement.

I recorded this late at night after doing a lot of string bending exercises, and posted it before listening real carefully. On further listening I'm afraid I forgot to re-tune before recording ....my ears aren't real sensitive that time of night, but I'm learning

Good one, Bob! The guitar and the song work well together. Some hard work put into this one, I'm sure.
Enjoy the day,
Fred

Thanks, Fred. This one came fairly easy to me, my second night on it. After 6 months of folk songs in that book I guess I was ready for the blues again

I am really loving that guitar! The neck folds up completely and it fits into a small backpack, it doesn't even appear to be a guitar in transport mode. Taking it into your RI waters for the first time next month

I enjoyed it too, Bob. Nicely done. I like a good little blues tune... I can never learn enough of them.

Thanks Kerbie! Nice to hear from you. That is such a neat little tune, so simple but interesting at the same time.
