Default Yamaha CG182S

I ordered a used Cordoba c10 and it arrived broken.

After debating back and forth on what to get, I finally pulled the trigger on a Yamaha CG182S spruce top. From what I understand, this is Yamaha's top of the line guitar. Also from what I've read, this guitar is comparable to guitars which are two to three times its price.....
And I figured, I can wait on an expensive guitar. For the venues I'm looking to play at now and in the future, the Yamaha will do.

I can't wait for it to arrive.

Hi Su,
Congrats on your new guitar. I'm sure an unbroken Cordoba would have been more to your liking, but I tell you, bang for the buck, it's hard to beat a Yamaha guitar. I don't know how they do it, but they do.
Enjoy!

How are you, Andre?

The Yamaha should arrive in a few days. It's interesting that I went with the Yamaha even though I have never played one.

Anyway, it's good to hear from you. Austurias is coming along. I've given myself a timeline to be able to play the piece at 70bpm by summer....and if it doesn't happen, I know if I keep tugging at it, it will. Thank you, my friend.

Fine, thanks!
As I said before, I admire your tenacity. I have no doubt that you’ll be able to achieve your goal with Asturias.
It’s a tough challenge. No doubt about that. Good that you don’t seem to be overly rigid in your goals and expectations. Enjoy the journey!

The Yamaha spruce tops may sound a little tight at first, they come around in short order and the tone will open up.

Yamaha's are good guitars I have and have had many.

The CG192 (which I have) is actually the top of the CG line. Then there is the GC (grand concert) line which goes up to about $10,000.

Enjoy, Rick
