Default Front Yard Jam Installment 4: Copper Canteen by James McMurtry

The title track off of James McMurtry's most recent album. A fantastic song about life - he's one of my all-time favorite songwriters.

Davey's first time playing the tune, but I think he did a great job! My wife did the camera work, it was recorded on a Samsung Galaxy 20+.

Sorry about flubbing the intro...lol

I love McMurtry's songwriting. Nice guitar and vocal. And... the camera work was great, too!

Excellent cover. Good location, nice ambiance, and a good field recording.

I have a Samsung. I think you are getting elevated ambient noise from the compressor in the phone. Do you know if that can that be attenuated using some setting?

Not that I could find, but there is probably a setting somewhere on it. There is definitely a bit of traffic or fan noise for sure, but I was still pretty pleased with the recording for how simple it is!
