I think that 5 or 6 watts is just fine for my uses. In my music area, I will sometimes use my '75 VibroChamp, especially with Fender guitars. My particular amp is now housed in a 1 X 12" cabinet. With the volume at about 3, that's as loud as it can be without it being uncomfortably loud. I also added a midrange control which adds to the tonal versatility.

Love that Strat-through-a-twin sound, and he captures it well. would love to know what mic he is using and what it's going through.

It's a '67. I usually play that through a TopHat Club Royale which is very Voxey. There's a smidgen of it at the very right of the pic.
