Default Latest two I'm working on

I've just finished the woodwork on my latest two builds. One is a Mini Jumbo from European Spruce and Brazilian Rosewood and the other is a 000-12 from lightly figured Mahogany with a torrefied Red Spruce top. I will start spraying finish on both this week after some light sanding to pretty them all the way up.

Thanks for looking!

Blake

Looking good. I like that light neck wood with the dark Brazilian wood. Makes a nice contrast. Very pretty guitars that should look great under finish.

Thanks so much!

Shot my first wash coat this morning. I love it when the finish goes on.

I'm not normally a mahogany guy, but I do like the look of that set on the 000. Very nice!

What have you done with the rosette on the mini jumbo? Any chance of a close up?

Thanks! I found that board at my local hardwood supplier and cut those sets myself maybe 12 years ago. I liked the little figure in it.

I was inspired by a Jason Kostal rosette I saw, it blew me away, his stuff is amazing. I wanted to try the same kinda thing so I cut up some casein plastic I’d been using for making picks and used that. Here’s a close shot.

Finish is on and flat.
Now I get to wait a month! IMG_1981.jpgIMG_1982.jpg
IMG_1983.jpgIMG_1984.jpg
I also started my next two builds. First up is another Mini Jumbo from Euro Spruce and Bog Oak from Ukraine. IMG_1975.jpgIMG_1976.jpgIMG_1977.jpg
The other build is a 00-12 from Red Spruce and mahogany with some weird light figuring. IMG_1980.jpgIMG_1945.jpg

Should be some fun builds!
Thanks for looking.
