Default Your Favorite Sci-Fi tv shows?

What are you favorite sci-fi tv shows of all time?

X-Files is one of my all time favorites (is that considered sci-fi?). Also a big fan of Star Trek Next Generation / Voyager and even Enterprise.

How about you?

Star Trek (any of them).

The show that came to mind first though was Fringe. Excellent characters and story-lines that never got tired.

The later seasons of TNG had some good stuff, I think...

I liked a lot of Voyager, and Enterprise too... it was broadcast
on a different network or something the last season, I never
saw many of those... did it flake out at the end, or was it OK
then... there was a long story arc the last season instead of
being episodic...

Fringe is excellent. I watched the entire series a few years ago and I started re-watching that series a few months ago. I've since paused it but will pick it up again soon. I'm partway through season 2.

I don’t watch a lot of SciFi anymore, but we are 5 episodes into “Away”, and are enjoying it. So far though, it is more a drama that takes place in space rather than what I consider to be SciFi (which usually entails encounters with living creatures of some kind, or the featuring of astounding technological fantasy).

Hey Mike, I liked the last couple of seasons of Enterprise. You're right, there's a major arc with the Xindi (pronunced "zindi") and a great plot. The producers had to wrap up the series after it was cancelled though. Many were upset with the final episode with Jonathan Frakes and Marina Sirtis from the Next Generation fame.

Firefly. Gone to soon. What could have been...

The Expanse is very good. Mr. Robot. Season 1 of Altered Carbon was very very good. Season 2 a little less so, but only by comparison.

Later Battlestar Galactica series. The one from the 70s ws too cheesy for words.

Next Generation had a shaky first season, then became quite good.

Another fan of Star Trek, TNG being my favorites. Hoping for another season of West World but that’s TBD.

Yes, Firefly was very good and could have gone a long way. Loved Jane in that show.

I didn't watch the later Battlestar but My wife loves it so it must be good.

A current show that has very good strong characters and very humerous is The Orville created by and starring Seth Mcfarlane.

Most all of the iterations of Star Trek including The Orville (not "officially" part of the Star Trek franchise), and most especially DS9.

The Expanse

Orphan Black

The Man In The High Castle

Counterpart

Timeless

Travelers

One of my favorites growing up was "Outer Limits". I thought it was a step up from Twilight Zone in the sci-fi dept.
I've since watched it on DVD, and it's a little dated. But it brought back good memories of watching the episodes.
Star Trek the original, and Next Generation, with Next Generation my favorite.
X-Files for sure!
Fringe is right up there too. Loved that show and all its story lines.
Does Fargo count? They had a couple of UFOs in there. (BTW, Season 4 has started. I have the first 2 episodes taped.)
Buffy was mentioned below. Was also a big fan of that series. The writing was first rate.

Firefly, The Expanse (seasons 1-3 anyway, haven’t decided on - or finished - season 4 yet), anything Star Trek but really REALLY looking forward to Discovery season 3!

Season one of Altered Carbon was awesome. Season 2 was pretty good too though it had a tough job to match season 1.

Does Buffy count as sci-Fi?
