Thumbs up

Gorgeous guitar, Mike. Your growing experience with luthier-built customs is reflected in this instrument and in Ben's craftsmanship...your guitar is awesome!!! Play it in good health...

Thanks Travis! I think it is about time to see some new work out of the Knorr guitar shop! And yes, it's been quite a while since you gave me a lesson on the Golf course and I've recovered now and ready for another

Default The Blackbird sings!!

And now, the long awaited video. Mikey likey! The guitar has had strings for only a few days and to my ears, it sounds pretty darned good. Ben always makes these extra special with his wisdom and wit. Enjoy!

I am not one to hide my opinions on how great I think the modern day luthiers are and Mr. Wilborn is, IMO, right at the top of the list.

Ben you have outdone yourself again and this guitar is both stunning to look at in its shape and clean lines and style and it sounds like a miracle on earth buddy.

Mike, I hope you enjoy this one for a long time. Anyone looking for a custom build is doing themselves a disservice if Wilborn guitars are not on their very very short list.

Thank you. Can't say enough about how fun it is to work with Ben. He's a craftsman and a great guy. Not a bad geetar picker either

Thanks Damian. It's easy to get lost in the tone.

Dennis, Thank you! This one ain't goin' nowhere. It just arrived today and it sounds even better in person. I'm really happy with it. Right out of the box this things sounds super good. Rich tone across the spectrum, and the play-ability (setup) is fantastic. Ben absolutely knocked this one out of the park.

Here are a few photos to add to the collection. The photos Ben sent were awesome and these aren't nearly as good as his, but I wanted to see this on my "famous" table. It's a cloudy day here so the light wasn't as good as it could have been. Anything you see here other than perfection are reflections or dust.

So, here they are:

Thank you Juston!

Just thought I'd post a few parting comments on this guitar:

I've had the opportunity to play the guitar several times since I got it on Tuesday and I gotta say I really really like the tone of it. It has some unique tonal qualities and sophistication that continue to "tickle my senses" in a really positive way...again really a lot going on tonally with this one. The sound is uniquely different enough to anything else I own that I see it becoming a long time instrument for me. Playability is fantastic, setup as good or better than any I've had. The cutaway gives access to more frets up the neck than about any acoustic guitars (except maybe one) that I've ever played. It sounds really good in all of the few tunings I personally play which are standard, drop D, and DADGAD.

In every way Ben flat out nailed it on this guitar, and I gotta say that it was a pleasure to work with him. The fit and finish of every part of the guitar is...well...virtually perfect as you would expect from his attention to detail we've all seen over and over again. Quality from stem to stern that does not disappoint.

Anyone looking to have a guitar built would be well served to consider Ben because I can't imagine that experience being anything but pretty darned special .
