I can easily see why it sold! It's a stunning instrument. I like the shadow effect around the rosette, and am a big fan of fret markers bleeding off the edge of the fretboard to become side markers. Regarding a leg bevel, I think it adds comfort to a seated player. I played a Collings City Limits, the only guitar I have played with a leg bevel (albeit an electric), and it seemed to nestle very nicely into the crease where my thigh meets my hip. Is it "necessary"? Not really, I've gotten along well with all of my guitars with out it. It doesn't provide the kind of relief of an arm bevel, but, it does one more layer of comfort.

Thank you kindly brother. now that you mentioned, yes I have considered a peghead bevel. Next up in fact. I guess if a person got carried away with this theme they would end up with a lute. (or an Ovation)

Thanks Mike
This is the only guitar I ever played with a leg bevel and that was not for long. I honestly don't remember how I felt about it so I guess it was not earth shaking.

Great work on this guitar John. As Paul said...your 12 fret AND 14 fret guitars just rock with tone, and they are a beauty to behold

Thanks Ken. I really don’t care to make bevels I just like the way they look when it’s done.
