DT De La Rosa African Blackwood/Carpathian work of art*** TRADED
This may be the finest guitar I have ever owned when you consider the combination of workmanship, detail, and sound. Having the privilege of owning Petros, Ryan, Bourgeois Soloist, Beneteau, and so on, that's saying something. In recent years I have found myself leaning back towards a more traditional sound, and playing a more percussive style to which I do not want to subject this guitar. The guitar is in near mint condition (just never like to say mint on a used guitar. I do no know the year, but it is #35. Comes with an Ameritage case that is in excellent++ condition.
BTW, did I mention Tommy Emmanuel commissioned a guitar from David Taylor? That should tell you something. Top: Carpathian Spruce B & S: African blackwood Neck: 7 piece Fret board and bridge: Ebony Carved heal Arm bevel 1 3/4 nut 2 1/4 string spacing 25.5 " scale Pickguard: None Electronics: None Case: Ameritage with humidify compartment $5750.00 shipped. Payment fees (if any) are the responsibility of the buyer. As with most folks here on the forum, I would much prefer a sale to a trade. However, if you have something special from a boutique builder with a traditional sound, I will give it some consideration. My first choice (long shot) would be a Kevin Kopp Trail Boss. Not interested in traditional dreads or single 0s or smaller. Now for the eye candy: I have included one of picture of this instrument from David Taylor's website. Note: There are two shots of the back, on with flash to show the grain, and one without. In reality, the back appears somewhere between these two pictures. [IMG][/IMG] [IMG][/IMG] [IMG][/IMG] [IMG][/IMG] [IMG][/IMG] [IMG][/IMG] [IMG][/IMG] [IMG][/IMG] Lots of references available here on the AGF, if needed. Thanks for taking a look. I know the market is soft and there are a lot of wonderful instruments being offered now, but please, no low-ball offers. Not desperate to sale and hope it goes to a home where it can be fully appreciate for the top-shelf instrument it is.

Truly awesome guitar. I owned this guitar and it plays and sounds every bit as good as it looks.
Also you cannot find a better guy to deal with. Cannot go wrong with this one. |

Paul,
This is NOT THE ACTUAL guitar, but the sound is amazingly similar to mine. First time I heard it I thought he was actually playing mine, but then realized the difference in the inlay. Hope this helps. On a different note (some pun intended) I 've had this out playing it and my desire to sell is beginning to wane. This may well be the last bump https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VLx6emLKrMk https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j-sUOsNL6Wg

Yikes!
Frank,
That's one to drool over for sure. Crazy how we seem to be attracted to the same guitars. This is an amazing piece of art being sold from an equally amazing guy. ...nuff said
