Well, Jimi does some amazing work, as well! I forgot to mention, one thing I knew this guitar HAD to have was a bee as the focal point. (Beekeeping is my other main hobby.) I love the detail- especially the wings. And I definitely agree on that last statement!

Congratulations! Play it well for many many many years to come!
Yes, I’m sure this amount of “bling” is not for everyone. I actually ended up asking Larry to dial it down quite a bit (from his first drawing). The first one spanned the entire fretboard. I definitely love how it turned out.

Your guitar reminds me a little of my own guitar. It's the only guitar I've ever bought new. Like yours, it has a multiple-stringer neck, some nice craftsmanship, and it was built by a small-volume highly talented builder.
There are a lot of fantastic guitar builders out there. Who built your guitar? Do you have anything posted (photos, clips)? The 1st guitar I bought new was built by Abe Wechter (years ago, when he was hand-building guitars). I still love that guitar. Guys running sound at various open mics told me it was the best-sounding acoustic they’d ever heard.
I don’t have any fancy recording gear, but I plan on recording this one- I don’t think my iPhone would properly capture the sound, but I could try and see how that works out.

Thanks, Jayne. It really does sound amazing. When I first played it, I was nearly speechless- I kept pausing to say “Wow.” I probably did that about 6 or 8 times in a row. I was just absolutely floored by the tone and the projection.

Loved the babysitting connection with the Olson's. They are both such humble and kind people.
Yes, they’re exactly as you say. I ordered a wall case from Acoustic Remedy, so I can be sure it’s humidified properly. It will be a beautiful piece of wall art, when I’m not playing it.

Incredible guitar Molly. Congrats!

I sure know what you mean by rabbit-hole deciding on extras. It is so nice when these luthiers (who become friends) bend over backwards to make your wishes come true. And Larry is a masterful artist. I have a fretboard by him which astounds every time I look at it.
