Let me start off by saying everyone who loved the sound of the guitar in clip in the OP is likely right from their own tastes and ears.
Part of what I heard was the off-the-cuff playing by the presenter, the room it was recorded in, and the recording matter itself. If was able to filter that out, I might have liked the guitar more. I can see why folks heard "different", that guitar recorded that way in that place: it's bright, overtone-rich and sustainey--too much so for my taste. Not, not not trying to rain on anyone's parade! I don't know any criteria where my tastes in guitar timbre are anything to rely on or emulate. My own performances and recording quality aren't either. GlennWillow's video clip, with the advantages of his playing and perhaps a better consideration to final take and recording environment, made a similar guitar sound much better to me. In the Gibson's defense, Glenn shows me that the things I found "too much" in the Norman's Rare Guitar video can be tamed and focused.

Thank you Andrew! Hopefully, the video adds to the discussion and information on Gibson Advanced Jumbo guitars.

amazing sustain. But, in fairness, I would have liked to hear it in standard tuning.

I love that shop. Been there many times. They’re pretty cool about letting you play whichever guitar you’d like as long as you don’t act like a kook.

I often don't listen to these videos in threads like this but I was intrigued. The result? I agree with the OP. Thanks very much for posting this.
