That's a great wood combo on the neck. I'm working on a guitar right now with a similar combination. Walnut with some Bolivian rosewood and lacewood. Looks great and smells even better!

Default Finish picture progress

Two more photos from the finisher. The poly coat is going on now and the woods are really looking awesome.

The sound hole cover is obviously a highly specialized piece of equipment that must be available only from high-end luthier supply sources. Although, it does kinda look like a McDonalds cup lid.

Yeah, the guitar isn't very expensive, but the Happy Meal is pricey.

Joel said he expects to have the guitar back on Saturday. Now just the bridge, tuners, pickup and strings to install. Not much longer!

That is a lovely looking instrument. Carpathian spruce is rapidly becoming my favourite looking top-wood, apart from my Moon obviously

Default Final glamour shots are in!

Joel finally got the guitar back from the finisher and she is ready to go! Sometime just after Christmas this guitar should be in my hands and I can't wait. It has turned out much better than I ever imagined. I can't wait to hear it.

Full frontal nudity at it's finest!

This is one of my favorite views of the guitar

If I can figure out how to record I'll post something after it arrives.

David, that is truly a stunning guitar. It is so elegant! As another with the same wood combination, I'm really looking forward to your reaction and description of the sound.
