No. My dogs ignore me when I call them, so why bother to waste a name on an inanimate object?

My fun is the sound that comes out of the guitar and those I play with and for, not the guitar itself. I stopped naming inanimate objects when I turned 10. But if it floats your boat to give guitars names, more power to you.

Only one. I had been working on this particular guitar for a couple of weeks getting it in playing condition. We were all just sitting around when someone asked "how is Bloody Mary coming along." The name stuck.

The guitar is a 1953 Epiphone Triumph Regent. A harder to find blonde version. The name is well-deserved. This guitar apparently sat locked away in a case for about ten years before I stumbled across it during which time the pickguard and binding were off-gassing. The resulting streaks running down the top of the guitar look all the world like dried blood. Kind of endears the thing to me.

Since you won't name yours, allow me to assign them names for you.

I don't have names for mine, since I don't really talk to them or about them with anyone (except for strangers on the interweb).

Thinking about it, I guess if I ever do reference them in any way, I might say "the Taylor" or "MY Martin" (which is my D-18) or possibly "Grandpa's Martin" (which is my HD-28 that used to be my grandpa's). I've toyed with the idea of calling that one "Bert" as a tribute to my grandfather.

I also have "the Tele" and two beaters which I hardly play or talk about.

Yeah, I confess to naming my guitars. My harp guitar is named "Gabbie", kind of a female version of Gabriel. (Kind of a harps and angels type of thing.) My Gibson is named "Rusty", cause she looks rusty.
