Default Do any of your guitars have names?

I call my Taylor "Peaches" and my Gibson is "Poopsie".
Anyone else do this?

No. I respect everyone's preference to do what they want, but I don't get the idea.

I call people names (when I can remember them), I call places by the names they have been given centuries before I was born, and I call pets by the name given by the breeder or last owner (although all the cats I've ever had answered best to the word "food"), and I call inanimate objects like musical instruments by the make and model given to them by the makers.
Frinstance - I call my car a Honda CRV and I call the guitar I was playing tonight my Collings DS1.

OK, I confess that I do sometimes call the female voice of the sat nav "Wanda the Honda!"

Yes, but I lack all imagination, so my Larrivee is Larry and my Yamaha is Yammy. My wife is pregnant; too bad she's already vetoed Sonny...

This question seems to come up every couple of months. I respond the same way each time: I only give names to people and pets. Guitars are tools to me. Think of them as paint brushes that help to produce art. Artists don't give names to their brushes.

Only when they won’t stay in tune or I stab my finger on the sharp end of a string!

Yes, see signature.
My two most recently acquired guitars (the Taylor and the Alvarez) haven't yet told me their names.

My favourite is called 0-16NY. Others include 650D and 330/12, not to mention good old J12SNA.

For years I didn't but friends named my guitars for me. What do you do about that?

Finally my wife gave me a sort of "guitar of a lifetime" and I named it after her, ie. "Ms. Right." I just about never use the name though.
