Satin finish Cargo too danged slippery.
Wanting to roughen the satin surface so that I can finally hold the frustrating thing, are there caveats concerning a light sanding?

I put some Home Depot adhesive felt on mine. It did the job and when I ebay'ed the guitar it was easily removed and cleaned up.

Thanks. That makes sense. I'll also mention that I'm hung up on the neck. I like a satin finish, but this CF is similar to a non-stick pan; I like a little bit of traction. I'll sandpaper the neck and then have the Home Depot option for the back.
EDIT: I used 220 sandpaper on the neck, which gave me the desired roughness. Fine sanding markings, less evident than polishing swirls on a gloss top. Worked well, so I applied the 220 to the back and sides. The guitar now holds securely to the body and the neck feels right. I'll leave the texture untouched from hereon; finer sandpaper would only slicken the surface. Last edited by Bax Burgess; 03-15-2019 at 12:01 PM.
