Default a few more pics from the Mcweekend....

This was post golf/shower (yes, I get a bit stinky on the course - just ask my buddies!) in the Mcliving room.....l

Camry snuggled up to the cases whilst us humans played and talked guitars....she gave me this "look" when I'd start to sing. I told her "hey, I used to get paid to do this!!"

Kurt (Eire) with my Osage OM, he was still smiling as it was right before I told him he couldn't take it with him to the lone cone room for the night!

Kurt with JR's guitar.......which is very nice by the way. Tim's nut spacing is wide enough that I didn't even notice it was a 1 11/16 at first...

Smiling big with Phil's SDG "Tree" guitar.....

Mary's "birdseye view" of the port on the Tree guitar.....

Mary telling us how she really feels....

Tim with one of two fan frets with offset soundholes....this is the one with the Osage inspired rosette....

What great pics Todd! Can you compare/contrast it to your other McKnight?

It's a slightly smaller upper bout/waist/body length than my Osage. The Osage has also had daily play for the last 2 1/2 years, so it's kind of an unfair comparison.

The Osage has more "umph" overall - the 59 Sitka top is definitely magical and hard to beat! I think the Koa guitar has slightly better balance right now, and I expect the "umph" factor will increase a bit over the next months. Italian has always seemed like good Engelmann to me tonally. It's very balanced with pleasing trebles and good bass and mids for a guitar of this size. The extra nut and saddle spacing make it very comfy for me.

Very happy camper!
