Default The Cheese Grater - Bad Santa Blues

I've previously posted this in the "Show & Tell" section, but I'll repost it here as well. Here's the story behind it:

When I was a youngster, my parents came up with a novel way to keep the children in bed while they wrapped presents, assembled bicycles, and drank eggnog on Christmas Eve, by adding a bit to the mythology of Santa Claus.

According them, in addition to the usual red suit and black boots, Santa also carried a large cheese grater.

Yes. A cheese grater.

If he peeked into your bedroom and found you awake on Christmas Eve, not only would he refuse to leave toys, he would also GRATE YOUR FEET!!!!

Needless to say, we kept our toes safely tucked under the covers until daylight on Christmas morning. Thus was born..."Bad Santa Blues" also known as "The Cheese Grater".

Enjoy, and Merry Christmas!

Default Steve Mauldin's " O Holy Night - Worst Version Ever"

Though this isn't mine, it never fails to crack me up every time I hear it. If you can stand to listen to it to the 2:10 mark, you'll be greatly rewarded

Default Fairytale of Stornoway

A Scottish take on/sendup of the Pogues' Fairytale of New York*, by group Peat & Diesel featuring Mairead Fay Nicholson. Nollaig Chridheil!

*Not exactly Christmasy you may think, but it keeps getting voted as "Favorite Christmas Song" by UK punters.

I'm gonna wrap my presents up in red bandanas
and leave some special cookies out for Santa
...
May it be a lot more green than blue
...
and may we all get higher than the Angel at the top of the tree
and may we all stay higher than the Angel at the top of the tree

Kind of a pre-Christmas song I wrote a couple of years ago.
