'Hmm, what can we do with our leftovers and charge $40-$50 for?'
Save your money. If you're desperate for a pick holder Dunlop do one for $2.99

Plenty of people make pickholders, strings, capos, etc. at different price points that appeal to different people. Some choose price as their primary consideration, some aesthetics, and some functionality. I'm always a happy to have another choice. Obviously, this one is not for you, which is fine. I happen to like them and just ordered one. I like the fact that you can stick it practically anywhere on the guitar and it won't damage the finish. A bit expensive, but considering it's going on a guitar costing several thousand dollars, I'm not going to stress over paying $15.

How so? It’s just another option. And I happen to like the fact that you can put it almost anywhere on the guitar without any damage. I can’t do that with any of my other pick holders. It sounds like it’s a solution for a problem that doesn’t exist for you. But not necessarily for others.

I don’t have any want or need for any sort of pick-holder, but if I did, no way a $15 price tag is gonna scare me off. Particularly considering that the cheapest pick it would ever be holding would have cost $25 and others $35 or $45. The very attractive pick holder would be the least expensive part of the whole pick / pick holder ensemble. Thalia makes pretty stuff that’s reasonably functional. I have one of their capos I like looking at. I have others I’ve come to prefer using, but I still keep it out with my guitar stuff just because it looks so good. And that was more than $15... And occasionally I use it anyway...

I use the Dunlop mic stand model, but have had the one that you stick to the guitar. Frankly, I like the Dunlop method of stacking the picks in a spring loaded piece of plastic more than the ugliness of a bunch of picks springing from a puck like flower petals.

I wouldn't trust the adhesive that Dunlop uses on my guitar.
