Lovely instrument that you’ll have long after the minor buyers remorse has faded from memory.

Given your taste in audio gear, you should have a comparable guitar

First person to spot that - yes, there's a fair amount of money tied up there, although that's nearly all been wheeling and dealing with second hand trades etc. I added it up for insurance purposes and suddenly realised just what I had!

Same here - accumulated some wonderful audio gear over the years, and basically through "horse trading" ended up with it costing me somewhere between zero and very little!

And that's a beautiful thing!

LOVE the [Lowden] looks of that guitar! Everything except that crescent cut-out in the headstock. That ziricote is stunning!

Beautiful piece of art.If it sounds as good as it looks then you’ve got yourself a lifer.
I have Martin GP35E which is also considered a mini jumbo. I find that being similar in size to a 000 or OM but a bit deeper it’s still very comfortable but a very versatile guitar.
Enjoy yours so gorgeous.

Super late to the conversation lol! I have been looking up the Lakestone SL in the cedar ziricote and came here.

How have you been getting on with the guitar?

Oh great….now I want a Lakestone… and I’ve never even heard of them. It absolutely has a lowden looking neck! I’ll have to do a little googling on that one.

I'm afraid to say it didn't stay long - maybe just under a year. I realised it wasn't the tone I wanted in my head, and was just too big to suit my small frame, especially as I play seated.
I still think it had the sweetest treble strings I've heard - a simple D chord was heavenly, but it didn't suit the music I play. About a year later I started getting into Martins, and realised that was the sound I wanted - whereas the Lakestone is very much in the Lowden (and all the Celtic offshoots) kind of style.
