Despite the negative mojo Peter placed, the guitar arrived and is a work of art to say the least. That said, I played a few bars of tears in heaven, and now I have to go to court for a client so it will rest at my office. But it is worth every penny and more for such a work of art.

I'm glad it arrived safely. Let us know more about it, especially compared to your other guitars, when you get a chance.

Keith, It has been great fun to read through this thread as you and others have added to it. Several of us who ordered from Jim started our individual threads, and each of us looked forward in anticipation of sharing more with our AGF friends. That said, your guitar is absolutely stunning in every sense of the word...simply gorgeous. I love every detail you and Jim thought about so carefully, and I'm sure Jim feels abundantly pleased with this guitar. Congratulations on a real one-of-a-kind guitar. I know there's been many, many threads about brazilian and whether or not it's worth it. I think you will have your answer when you play this Olson alongside your others. I certainly have my answer. Again, congratulations. Can't wait to read your thoughts about the sound of your new Olson and, if we're fortunate, listen to an audio post.

Keith, that wasn't negative mojo, it was merely reverse psychology!

BTW, where are the pictures?

I just have been playing it.......my initial reaction...is the voice and the sustain are INSANE...It literally rings like a bell in a hand bell choir...and seems to ring as long as u will let it....with a sustain so crystal clear and long...just amazing. It is so very different than the indian rosewood Olsons that I have....like night and day honestly. And the indian rosewood are phenomenal guitars....it is just a different stratosphere....The brazilian rosewood makes all the difference in the world...large bottom end and reflective of the sounds inside it.....the neck is balanced and beautiful...I am sure the way that brazilian rosewood neck is married to the soundbox has much to do with why it rings like it does.

Pictures when I can. Here is one the Jim took:

Just amazing guys...so worth the wait...so worth the sacrifice that goes into having it in my hands....Jim Olson is so talented beyond words....so patient with the details I obsessed over...has everything to do why it is the work of art that it is...literlly.

Very nice indeed! I do believe there is something "magical" about brazilian. I do love that stuff. Congratulations, she does look like a work of art.

Keith,
is that the foam seat you offered for people who want to try it?
I would even wear a long-sleeve shirt.

You won't get much sleep tonight, I am sure. Enjoy playing and don't forget to post a soundclip tomorrow.

A wonderful thread, Keith. Thank you.
