Nice - we have been working on converting a couple of Prince songs to Bluegrass. I will try to get one up in the next day or two!

This one in two takes, not as good as the first song IMO

So I'm working on an acoustic, open-tuned version of a Motown medley. Hopefully get it done and posted before September rolls around....but, in the meantime, here's what I'm hoping is a different arrangement of an old fingerstyle standard, Coney Island Cakewalk. We were trying for something a little dreamier, a bit more Tin Pan Alley - if that makes sense - than the way we heard it played by other pickers:

The duo was called Home Brew. We played around NE WI for a number of years. Apologies to Toby for playin just a little outa tune.

Man, that's some sweet pickin'! Nice job, and hey, if it was in tune it wouldn't be Folk Music!

What the hay--I'm in. Death Cab for Cutie's "I Will Possess Your Heart" as done by Pink Floyd in 1974 while trying to figure out exactly what their next album (Wish You Were Here) should sound like.

Here's another from a while back. If you can't sound like JJ Cale, then don't try to sound like JJ Cale:

Default Genesis - "The Musical Box"

Well I was running out of month here, so via the magic of editing, here is my acoustic version of "The Musical Box" by Genesis. It is by no means gig ready but I managed to get enough good parts and patch 'em together!
