...dang...the Ducks men’s and women’s basketball teams did not make a good show yesterday and have ended their seasons....both teams will return a large chunk of their rosters though and should be back to the dance next year....both USC and UCLA were impressive and the PAC 12 has three teams in the elite 8....I am not counting USC out against Gonzaga but I fear that’s the PAC 12s best shot at getting to the final four....and that’s a long shot....still..they’ve got 3 out of 4 chances to get there...nobody saw that coming...

....well the Beavers fell last night but they did make it interesting towards the end...congrats to Beaver nation on an outstanding run...two chances for the PAC 12 to make it the final four tonite....but I ain’t holding my breath...should be good games regardless....

That good writer for the WSJ, Jason Gay ( U of Wisconsin freak) just might have jinxed the U of M bunch by actually saying "Go blue"! They looked like a bad HS team for the first few minutes of the UCLA game---I turned it off and took a break to see what my friends and neighbors had to say on the AGF.

The game is now over 51-49, UCLA gets to play Gonzaga. If they play like they did last night (UofM was worse) it will be embarrassing for the NCAA!

Well, that's about what you'd expect. Sixteen choices with a probability of 0.5 per choice (0.5^16) times 14.7 million = 224.

Final 4

Houston (2) vs Baylor (1)
UCLA (11) vs Gonzaga (1)

Two number 1 seeds still in, and probably not a surprise given Gonzaga/Baylor were ranked #1 and #3 nationwide at the end of the regular season.

That UCLA / Gonzaga game was incredible. Really enjoyed it. Shame UCLA lost but heck of a contest.

You called it, the championship game. Gonzaga going for a perfect season. The last perfect season was in '75-76 when Indiana went 32-0. UCLA did it four times between '64 and '73.

Lost in all the hoopla is Michigan's little Hope College woman's basketball team, undefeated for two years and finding out the NCAA won't be having a national tournament, for the second year, (COVID don't you know) because of the expense involved!

Kind of gives new meaning to STUDENT ATHLETE and all that other noise the NCAA puts out. They're (The NCAA), now in the Supreme Court poor mouthing to protect their TV, salaries, gate and other monies!

I'm not really a basketball fan but my Dad went to Gonzaga so just out of that connection I root for the Bulldogs.

...wowza..what a game!!...I thought UCLA was gonna pull off the upset but I was glad to see Gonzaga pull it off in dramatic fashion....I don’t know if a team can win a game like that and not go into the championship game feeling bulletproof....hopefully we get another thrilla tomorrow night...

...well it was a safe call...btw......Woodens Bruins won 10 championships in the 12 years he coached them...and seven in a row....I don’t reckon we’ll ever see that kind of run again....

Yea, those UCLA teams were awesome and had future NBA HOF'ers.
