Default Ukulele Strap

I was having trouble keeping my tenor ukulele still while I play fingerstyle (4 fingers). I have no strap buttons but I don't believe a regular strap would work anyway. So I took an old belt I had (when I weighed quite a bit more than I do now) and wrapped around my legs and around the body of the uke. I don't play out, this is just for recording and living room use. It allows me to keep the body away from my torso and the sound is much clearer than the "bear hug" way I've been holding it. Any Drawbacks for this?

There are ukulele straps that don't require a strap button or end pin. Here is one:

Thanks for the links. Too bad those don't keep the uke away from the body though.
