Talking It's here !!! NGD Oh Yeah !!!

It came home to me last night around 6:00 PM My new Yamaha LL16D BLK ! What a guitar, she's perfect !!! I had Sweetwater swap the nut, Bridge saddle, and Bridge pins for GraphTech TusQ............ the tone is awesome, great sustain for an acoustic, the harmonics ring like a bell, and the A.R.E. treated woods make it sound like a vintage guitar !!! I just love the Rosewood tones !!! The neck is perfect for my catcher's mitt hands, it's like it was custom made for me !!! I couldn't ask for more, and it cost me less than a quarter of the price for the other manufacturer's similarly featured models !!! A real bargain and I love the black finish, it's gorgeous, I am sure I am now done with the gas !!! I'd post some photos, but I need a little time, I'm too busy playing it to photograph it !!!

Here are two photo's from the Sweetwater process, it is indeed my guitar, and I resized the photos to the acceptable size for the forum.

Wow. I really dig a piano Black finish on an acoustic guitar! And who would know a finish like that better than Yamaha? The purists are groaning at that, I'm sure. And I am a big fan of Yamaha's build quality too. Here's wishing you best of time's playing that gorgeous guitar, Graham H.
BTW-Looking at your signature line, it seems you suffer from the same two time syndrome as me. All you need is a Casino to go with that Riviera and all your deuces are aligned within the cosmos.

Sweet Yamaha. Nice. I can't believe Sweetwater installed those parts for you.

A full-range passive pickup system
Yamaha's SRT Zero Impact pickup was designed to deliver a faithful reproduction of the LL16's natural, dynamic sound. They also designed it to be inconspicuous in terms of its impact on the guitar's looks and tone. The passive design doesn't use a bulky preamp that's routed into the body, detracting from the instrument's looks and resonance. Instead, each string has its own piezoelectric element, yielding full and accurate transmission of that beautiful 6 string sound. There is one important point to remember: because this is a passive pickup system, you'll need to use an external preamp when plugging in the Yamaha LL16.

And yes, you can have the Sweetwater techs do the installation of nuts etc, they do however charge for it, I had them do the work because I don't have a qualified Luthier living near me in rural North Central Florida !!!

Those are really nice guitars - the dealer where I bought my Seagull had that exact same model (without your very nice mods, of course!). I almost went for it instead of the Seagull but, sadly, I am one of those "purists" who want to see some wood grain - couldn't get past the admittedly well-done piano black finish. It sure sounded great, though...
