Well let me bump in, just to say that yes, the neck is Myrtle. Center stringer is Bocote, correctly identified, and used to match the bindings.
The other laminations are Myrtle, obviously from two different boards. Every piece of Myrtle is unique, and getting a shipment in can be like a smorgasbord. It makes a stellar guitar wood, and it’s good looking to boot. This guitar was a joy to build, and would make a fine addition to someone’s acoustic stable. Steve |
