The vast majority of people I speak with have no qualms about using,-"I could care less", "irregardless", pronouncing forte, "four-tay", etc. I wouldn't think of correcting them either! I understand genteel conversation etiquette.
I made it past the 5th grade okay too, and I will continue to say "He was hung by the neck until dead!" and if one corrects me, it's at his peril in the friendly group, to be thought an awkward dolt! Fog
