McPherson and Kevin Michaels ... Is there a difference here?
I see a few used Kevin Michaels out there but most say McPherson.
I know the older ones say Kevin Michaels and the Newer ones say McPherson but are their anything different between them design and manufacturing?

From what I have read here on the forum, the answer is yes, there is a difference. I read that the Sable and Touring were changed a bit after dropping the KM name. Just what I have read, I'm not an expert (at anything), for the best answer, you may want to ask McPherson. And let us know.

Ellis Seal was a main contributor to R&D at CA (Composite Acoustics) and McPherson and was the engineer behind the Kevin Michael Touring. I think that Matt McPherson is now spearheading the Sable and Touring and, yes, there have been changes. How to find out what those changes were I'm not sure, but I think it was mostly the injection molding for the back and sides between the two guitars and the bracing.
